We offer dog walking and boarding for both short and long periods here in our family home offering you a stress free alternative to kennels. We know how very important your pet is to you. We are smitten by dogs and being owners and lovers we know how paramount it is to make sure you dogs get the love, attention and cares it deserves.
Do you take any breed of dog?
Unfortunately not. As this is a home environment, we will only take dogs that are well socialised. We reserve the right to not accept certain breeds that would not fit in to a home environment with other dogs and children. We do not take dogs which are currently outlined on the Dangerous Dogs act 1991.
Do you need us to visit before boarding?
We ask that all dog owners come here with their dogs and see our home prior to any confirmed dates. This should take no longer than 20 minutes and gives Amanda the opportunity to learn about the dogs and for your to see our home. Should we need to further examine the dog's behaviour, then we will ask that the dogs stays with us for 2 hours or perhaps overnight to ensure that the dog will settle in a home environment.
Do you board puppies or males that have not been neutered?
We love puppies and try out utmost not to let you down and be negative. We will do our best to oblige however on occasions we might have to check how many dogs are boarding at the time, as we do notice quite a tense atmosphere when a male dog that has not been neutered is in the home.
What do we need to bring?
We ask that you bring your dog’s regular daily food in order to ensure that they stick to their daily dietary requirements as much as possible. All dogs are given dentasticks, Gravy bones and appropriate equivalents during the course of the day unless you stipulate otherwise. You are welcome to bring any accessories or bedding that your dogs is familiar with. Everything else will be provided.
Will you be able to give my dog medical treatment?
We have administered medication on numerous occasions. Before you leave, we do ask that all owners complete a veterinary release form so should any issues arise regarding their medical wellbeing, we are fully up to date with your dog’s vet details and medical history. It is also necessary for your dog to have all relevant vaccinations. All dogs must be fully wormed and have received regular flea treatments. All dogs must additionally have received the kennel cough vaccine.
